For the last 20 years, Meadow Run Environmental's founder and principal ecologist, Nate Hough-Snee, has conducted scientific research that spans wetland and riparian ecology, invasive species biology and management, and ecosystem conservation and restoration. His work has been published in scientific journals ranging from Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences to River Research and Applications to the open access journals, PLOS ONE and PeerJ. Nate has also contributed to multiple technical studies as a part of working groups for the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Washington State Department of Natural Resources, Washington State Department of Ecology, US Forest Service, Chelan County Natural Resources, and Lake Chelan Research Institute. Since 2021, Nate has been the Associate Editor for Wetland and Riparian Ecology for Northwest Science, the journal of the Northwest Scientific Association.
